Master Bath

This zen-inspired master ensuite adjoins an Asian-themed master bedroom in a midcentury modern home. 

As you enter, there is a sliding door on the left, leading into a dressing room, but the first thing you’ll notice is a luxurious freestanding soaker tub, accented by a western red cedar-paneled wall and an asian-style teak stool. There is also a separate tiled shower, and a private water closet with a sand-blasted glass sliding door.

I designed the vanity inspired by midcentury modern design: the lower drawers and doors have big bold square pulls, while the tower is ‘touch to open,’ with one hinged left, and one right. The 3-dimensional blue tile reminds me of Bitossi ceramics, and the custom “eclipse” mirrors & spherical pendant add a little drama.
